Home Inspection Cost

Dan's cost for a professional home inspection is a fair price considering the valuable experience he brings. The price is simply based on size of the house, the year built and if the home is outside Whatcom County. No up-sells, no non-sense.

Cost Reasoning

Here’s what affects an inspection cost from Dan:
  • House Size

The larger the house, the more materials, area-to-cover, components, etc. It just plain takes longer to fully scour a larger home.
  • House Age

The older a home is, the more likely it’s built in a way that has needed to be updated to stay safe over the years in just about every aspect. It takes a much slower and more methodical inspection to fully investigate an older home.
  • House Location

Dan commutes from Lynden, WA and covers an area that includes Whatcom County and most of Skagit County regularly. A trip charge would likely need to be included to cover gas, travel times and ferry costs to Island County, Snohomish County, and King County. Dan will also consider waiving/lowering his trip charge for inspections in King County that can be turned into a visit to his daughters and family down south.
